Shiro is a lighter coloured and much sweeter tasting miso. It contains a high proportion of rice and only half the salt (6% instead of 12%) of other miso. It is aged for only a few weeks to create its special light quality. Shiro Miso is ideal for seasoning dips, dressings, soups, sauces and lighter diishes. Unlike most commercially made Shiro Miso, Sanchi's product contains no added sugar.
