Because of its strong flavour, Wasabi (Wasabi Japonica), is nicknamed 'nami da', meaning 'tears' in Japanese. It is stronger than mustard, and is a little less sharp and more aromatic than common horseradish. It has been cultivated in Japan for around 400 years and can only be grown deep in the mountains where it grows in clean, fresh water. An indispensable condiment for sushi and sashimi (raw fish), it is also traditionally added to a broth or dipping sauce and eaten with noodles. Wasabi also works wonders in Western cooking. Add a small amount to stir fries and pasta dishes for that extra bite!  Sanchi uses all natural ingredients, In powder form, so you can mix it with water to suit your taste.
